Fate, TX Screened Porch Addition By Archadeck Of Northeast Dallas Southlake

Was It Fate That Brought This Gorgeous Screened Porch And These Homeowners Together? No, It Was Archadeck!

Fate TX Screened Porch and Patio Combo

It’s an interesting fact about some new home builders today. No matter how magnificent the new construction is, when it comes to outdoor spaces, they typically don’t address them.

Maybe a small, walkout cement pad, at best.

Fate TX Before

Area before Archadeck began the transformative project.

Such is the case with this beautiful brick home in Fate, Texas, in the greater northeast Dallas area. As you exited the rear of the home via two large patio doors, there was just enough concrete to accommodate a gas barbecue grill and a storage chest for garden items and playthings.

It was protected by the original extended roofline, which fell short of thorough protection from heavy rains and winds due to its short outreach.

Once settled in the new home, the family felt that it always came up short when it came to enjoying their backyard. Yes, the expansive lawn was thick and luxurious in its own right, but at the end of the day, it was just grass.

There was no foundation to create a space for extended outdoor living, so during their free design consultation with us, it was agreed to create a double-wide foundation – one for a screened porch atop a new patio and one for an exposed patio adjacent to it.

The result is this expansive extension of the rear of the home. At left, we created a joyous outdoor retreat covered stain and stamp patio using a flagstone stamp pattern and stained in Coquina with a Bone Release. We extended the concrete to make a more spacious platform for the homeowners to grill outdoors.

It is interesting to note that this Coquina color choice for the stain is inspired by the beautifully tan colored sedimentary rock that shares the same name.

To make it feel intimate and private, we protected this new outdoor living space with a gable roof extension. Details include a Hardie board interior ceiling finish, which was painted to match the home.

For creature comforts while enjoying this new outdoor room, we installed four recessed can lights in the pitched ceiling, as well as a ceiling fan which features an additional light source.

Opening Up The Great Outdoors Even More With ScreenEze Porch Sides

Some new Fate, TX, outdoor rooms are designed in such a way that clear views of the respective backyards are somewhat limited with partial walls.

That is not the case with this innovative patio design.

To provide unobstructed view of their backyard vista, we choose ScreenEze full view panels for all three sides of the new space.
