To some, a covered porch or patio may only serve as a sheltered space. A place to get in out of the rain, or escape the blaring heat of the mid-day summer sun. Although all are viable benefits to consider a covered patio addition, at Archadeck of Northeast Dallas-Southlake, we design and build covered spaces as a destination and not just shelter.
Our recent covered patio addition in Forney, TX illustrates just how much luxury we pour into our custom designs.
Let’s begin at the base of the design, the patio floor. The homeowners chose to go with a stain-and-stamp concrete patio using the hardwood stamp pattern. For the color, they wanted to give the space a warm, inviting feel so they chose our maple wood stain with a charcoal release.
The details of this design have all the feels! We integrated a custom wood-burning outdoor fireplace along with an outdoor kitchen surround so these homeowners would want for nothing when enjoying their new space!
The fireplace, kitchen base and columns were all built from chopped white limestone, which matches the stone on the home. Gray Lueders stone was used atop the kitchen countertops, the stone columns and on the fireplace mantel. The profile of the covered patio is just a beautiful from the back as it is from the front.
The homeowner’s love the way the kitchen surrounds the fireplace, one side contains their grill while the other houses a fridge and ample working countertop space! The client’s smoker sits on standby just outside the covered patio ready for use with plenty of ventilation.
Adding to the richness and warmth from the patio floor, Archadeck finished the interior ceiling in a wooden tongue-and-groove ceiling stained in dark walnut. Two ceiling fans and abundant recessed can lighting allow enjoyment of the space in any season, day or night!
Finishing the tie-in to the existing home, our paint specialist custom matched the trim color to that already on the home. Little details like this add to our trademark “always been there” appeal of all our designs. We strive to improve your outdoor living lifestyle while creating spaces that look and flow original to your home.
The clients are elated with their new space. Their new covered patio adds value to the home and will be a cherished backyard destination for years down the road!
