For the outer border of the patio, we used Unilock Brussells block in sandstone to complement the sailor course utilizing Unilock’s premiere Holland stone in charcoal. For the field area of the patio, we used Unilock Beacon Hill in the color flagstone. The subtle shade variety in the Beacon Hill paver collection creates a beautiful muted pallet with enough color variation to be visually interesting and pleasing.
From this view you can see the patio provides the homeowners with generous space. Add a couple Adirondack chairs, some friends and family and you have a quality entertaining area that breathes beauty without looking overcrowded with a lot of furniture. This area includes a fire pit, seating/retaining wall, generous patio field area and a curved hardscape step entry into the home.
The retaining walls in this hardscape paver patio will prove very versatile for these Grove City homeowners. We used Oberfields Dimensional wall block in the color flagstone to complement the flagstone hues in the patio floor.
What comes to mind when looking at the fire pit? Warmth, cool fall or spring nights, ambiance, roasting marshmallows? For the seating wall, fire pit and steps we used Unilock Full Nose in the color dark charcoal. We chose this color for its contrast and these areas will be frequently used.
Pillars can be decorative if you add potted plants or they can be utilized for plates, drinks, mini tables or even as seats. For the pillars, Unilock Holland stone premier was used at the top of the pillars and a limestone rock face cap was added.
