Your ultimate Columbus deck builder

Archadeck of Columbus has been building decks in our area for more than a dozen years. You name it; we’ve built every size, shape and color deck you can imagine. But the most important thing is that our decks fit the way our clients want to live. A great deck is one that you want to live on, eat on, read on, entertain on, or do the activities you enjoy most in your outdoor living space.

The Importance of hiring a deck design and build company for your new deck project

Like any other home improvement project you may be considering, Archadeck of Columbus advises homeowners to be cautious and do your homework when it’s time to select a company to design and build your new deck. Not everyone who quantifies as a contractor qualifies as a legitimate deck builder. And not everyone every deck builder adheres to the high standards, professional business practices, and quality workmanship you get with Archadeck as your deck builder and design company.

We believe choosing a custom deck design is comparable to buying a new car. Not everyone wants a red car, but those who do really want to drive a red car. Some drivers want an engine with more horsepower, and some want a more powerful sound system. The possible combinations as you mix and match the available features are almost endless.

Like car buyers, homeowners choosing a new deck should be able to select the custom features important to them. The right deck for your home and your lifestyle – size, shape, materials, amenities – might not be the right deck for someone else.

Deck and patio combination

In the photo above, you’ll not only see a beautiful composite deck, but also a paver patio and stately pergola. The deck is made of TimberTech low-maintenance composite decking. The white deck rail posts are contrasted by the slender profile black railing spindles. The subtle tones of the pergola blend perfectly with the color of the home. As the homeowners descend from their yard, they meet the beautiful paver patio complete with a curved retaining wall.

At Archadeck of Columbus, we build many custom decks with pergolas. A pergola is an easy commitment when it comes to deciding to add a bit of shade or protection on part of your deck. This gives homeowners a choice to still feel completely outdoors, even while under their pergola.

Deck and patio combination

Above you’ll see a combination outdoor space that includes a patio attached to a beautiful and tranquil koi pond along with a deck with double pergolas. You’ll notice the unique shapes of the pergolas match the zen tranquility of the koi pond. The pergola at the entry to the Columbus deck acts as both a trellis and a warm welcome to the enclosed portion of this outdoor space. The bell pergola in the corner serves to define the grill area. With both pergolas, vines can be laced. To the far side of the picture, you’ll notice a beautiful privacy wall. You’ll again notice that it’s not your typical privacy wall. Designed to continue the feel of the space, the privacy wall is as decorative as it is functional.

Unique and unusual angles define the TimberTech synthetic deck pictured above. This low-to-grade double level deck creates two distinct living areas. The upper-level deck accommodates both the eating area and the grilling area with easy access to the house for carrying food and beverages between the 2 spaces. The two levels are separated by wide stairs that gently step down to the next outdoor living area. These stairs can also serve as seating. The lower level deck can be used for seating whether for several people or for a couple favorite chaise or Adirondack chairs. Finally, this stunning composite deck steps down into the yard with large wide-angled stairs. These stairs come complete with step lighting to ensure safe footing.
