Q: I’ve just signed a contract with Archadeck of Northeast Dallas. How long will it take to build my project?
It depends on the size and complexity of your project, the weather, and the workload of your local office. Normally, projects can be turned around faster in the fall and winter (as opposed to the spring, which is our busiest season). Your local office should be able to give you an approximate start and finish date, subject to weather conditions and materials availability.
Q: Are you insured?
Yes, our locations carry at least one million dollars of general liability insurance, and their carpentry crews are covered by worker’s compensation insurance.
Q: Do you have a written contract that I will sign?
Yes. We supply you with a detailed contract to protect you from any misunderstandings.
Q: Do you sell your designs or plans so I can build it myself?
No, all of our work is custom designed, so we don’t sell our plans or our designs.
Q: How many designs do I have to choose from?
Each of our projects are customized to your exact needs, so your design options are virtually endless. If all that design freedom overwhelms you, you can choose from our Lifestyle Classic deck designs that can be easily modified to fit your space.
Q: Do I need a permit to build my outdoor living structure?
Most construction projects do require permitting. It does vary from county to county in our area. We will certainly obtain the proper permits as required by law as it pertains to your project.
Q:Can Archadeck Help Me Obtain HOA Approval For My Outdoor Living Space Addition?
If you are working with Archadeck of Northeast Dallas to renovate or build a new outdoor living space, we can help you navigate the HOA approval process. Because we have been through similar situations with many of our clients, we are familiar with the process and know it can sometimes be confusing or frustrating.
We realize that Homeowners Association’s (HOA) architectural guidelines can vary widely from one neighborhood to another. No matter what common sense tells you, even if you can’t imagine that the guidelines would affect you, you will need to find out for sure. Where some neighborhoods simply want a say over significant changes or additions visible from the street, others may require that even small changes such as color choices or adding windows to a porch be approved first. Your HOA’s guidelines and regulations will explain what needs to be approved and the process to do so.
Q: How much is my project going to cost?
One of the most common questions we get from homeowners is “how much is my project going to cost?” Archadeck of NE Dallas understands most homeowners want some idea of what they are getting into before getting too involved with the process, which is a reasonable request. The main thing to remember is, in most cases, the bottom-line number for your quote usually comes in lower once we have input all factors and details.

While we would love to work with you, we are usually not the most cost-effective choice for smaller jobs or repair work. We offer very competitive pricing for our typical-sized and larger jobs, but on smaller jobs we are not going to be your most competitive solution. There are times when what you truly need is a handyman or contractor who specializes in repairs and small projects.
