As you can see from this before image (above), the homeowners had nothing more than a wooden walk out area and narrow stairs into the backyard. Their desire was to have a backyard space with more room to better “frame” the back of their home. In addition, they also wanted a space that was low-maintenance but at the same time high-aesthetic -- Archadeck of Columbus was able to give them all in one streamlined, custom deck design!
We began the project by removing the stoop (naturally). We then added a low-maintenance TimberTech custom deck using TimberTech Edge decking in the Coconut Husk color. TimberTech Edge decking features an easy to clean surface and is resistant to moisture. This decking also resists stains and is formulated from 80% recycled materials making it a premier green decking choice!
The deck also features a black powder-coated aluminum rail which adds a dramatic contrast alongside the decking color. We also installed a safety gate at the top of the staircase to ensure pets and small children can enjoy the deck with the homeowner’s peace of mind. Last but certainly not least, look at these wide, flowing steps – making for a safer entry into the backyard.
