This tall and skinny home featured here originally had a pressure treated low-to-grade deck and the homeowners wanted a porch. While meeting at their free, no-obligation consultation, we explored the possibilities and eventually discussed a design plan that gave them that porch … and more.

Adjacent to the new outdoor living space, we constructed a breezeway. This allowed a convenient path to the HVAC system for easy access when necessary.
Instead of an open porch, the homeowners loved our idea of screening the porch in with SCREENEZE and adding a hip roof to provide protection from the sun and rain while also adding privacy from nearby neighboring homes.
The roof interior featured a beautiful tongue and groove pattern surrounding the wooden support beam. A ceiling fan was also added to accommodate better air flow when desired. For definition of the space and safety, a vertical rail was installed around the entire perimeter.
All of this attention to detail adds up to an extremely wise outdoor living investment.
