A three-season room means you can use it 3 seasons out of the year. At Archadeck, we build three-season rooms that are considered outdoor structures. They are not a home addition or sunroom. Sunrooms are typically made with glass windows and can include things like heating/cooling, insulation, and sometimes plumbing. Three-season rooms aren’t designed to be connected to the home’s HVAC system.

Is a three-season room different than a screened porch?
Yes, three-season rooms provide a more versatile space than a screened porch. Screened porches feature roll screening, which is great for keeping out bugs while allowing the breeze to flow through your room. They feature 4-track windows, which provide a vinyl panel and screen, allowing you to control the airflow of your room. 3 Season rooms allow you to enjoy the outdoors longer, help keep out pollen and debris, and retain heat or cool air better than a screened porch.

Can I use my 3-season room year-round?
It depends! Charlotte, NC, is known for its mild weather, making it a great place to build a 3-season room. With the addition of outdoor heaters, fireplaces, ceiling fans, and box fans, Charlotte homeowners can enjoy their porches year-round. Other areas like Chicago experience harsh winters, which wouldn’t accommodate three-season room year-round enjoyment.

Archadeck of Charlotte has been building three-season rooms since 1988. We focus on designing three-season rooms built to last and enhance your outdoor lifestyle.
