ARCHADECK BUILDS YOUR OUTDOOR LIVING PROJECT TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS!

When you select Archadeck to design and build your screened porch, deck, or sunroom, you avoid the nightmare of trying to work with unreliable tradespeople. If any of the following sounds familiar to you, you’ll appreciate the way we vet our subcontractors.

Facing Unpredictable Outcomes When You Work With Unproven Contractors

My daughter recently bought a house that needed some renovations. Unfortunately she lives far enough away that I can't help her as much as I'd like. Her realtor recommended an electrician, and a neighbor recommended a handyman. She called the electrician to do a list of repairs. However, on the day of the appointment, he didn't show—apparently he had trouble with his truck. She tried to reschedule, but he didn't answer his phone and didn't return her messages. As a professional in the finance industry, she was astounded that anyone in business could be so unreliable.

She had slightly better luck with the handyman. He agreed to paint and reinstall some kitchen cabinet doors. He came and worked a couple of hours one day and then left. He returned later that day and wanted to continue the work well into the evening. My daughter didn't relish the idea of someone working in her house into the evening hours. She’d had a hard day at work and was trying to unwind. She got through that, but she is still waiting for him to come back and reinstall the cabinet doors.

If A Contractor is Busy, Does That Mean They Are Reliable?

She made several comments about "why are these people so hard to get to do work for me?" I explained that tradesmen of all types are as busy now as they have ever been and have more work than they can get to. As she experienced, when you randomly select a painter, an electrician, or a carpenter, you are taking a chance. They could be great, or they could be awful. Yes, she had referrals, but ... let the buyer beware ...

You’ll Appreciate The Archadeck Difference!

Considering this challenge that faces any homeowner, I reflected on how Archadeck selects our tradesmen. We often get references from our many vendors as to which of their customers do good work. We vet them by requiring them to provide examples of their work. We also require proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance—this is a good indicator of their level of professionalism. But most important, we try their work—first with small jobs, and then with increased complexity as we gain confidence. At all stages of this process, we have an Archadeck supervisor closely monitor the quality of their output. Many do not pass our validations. In fact, we kiss a lot of frogs before we find a prince. It's a process that never ends for us.

Working with Archadeck gives you an advantage because we have already gone through this process with all of the tradesmen we assign to your project. And we will check on your sunroom, deck, or patio project constantly to make sure the work our guys do consistently meets our standards. You can rest easy that the work will be done properly and on schedule, without you having to stress over the process. If there are problems, we will make them right.
