These clients had an existing covered concrete patio off the back of their beautiful home. While the existing patio area was great for spending time outdoors, they longed to have a larger patio space with more versatility. They dreamed of a space that could serve as the setting for a fire pit. An open-air space where they could sunbathe by day and stargaze at night. The structure also needed to contour to the existing covered patio area and complement their home’s architecture. Archadeck came up with the perfect solution to fit all their needs with this stunning custom patio and hardscape!

Archadeck of Central SC crafted a round walkout paver patio flanked by a pair of matching curved retaining walls. The patio also features a curved stairway allowing for easy, and graceful, entry into the back yard.
The materials we used on this project give the allure of elegance and vintage appeal of a bygone era. We used Lowcountry Pavers for the patio floor and stairs along with stone on the retaining walls. The retaining walls, which encompass 12 linear feet, also feature capstone tops. These retaining walls can be used to showcase seasonal, ornamental plants – and can provide added seating when needed. The area is spacious enough that the clients were easily able to center their portable fire pit on the round patio.
These Lexington homeowners are elated with their new custom hardscape! They now have the duality of a covered and open space where they can enjoy their back yard.
