The one good thing – and the only good thing – that came as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic is that we can all effectively communicate with one another digitally.
All it takes is a digital device, be it a phone, laptop, or tablet and voila – we can see and hear one another clearly in the comfort of our own home.
Let’s Meet Up Close And Personal – Even If You’re Miles Away
Technology – such a beautifully wonderful thing. When you are ready to talk about adding one or more outdoor living structures to your home, all you need is Internet access and a digital device.
Whether you are planning a new deck, porch, screened porch, or sunroom, or any combination, let us walk you through a virtual design consultation. We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is.
We want to reassure any homeowners who might feel intimidated by the idea of using “virtual” technology for this meeting that all you need to do is click a hyperlink we will send you. It’s that easy.
Becoming more commonplace today for all sorts of business conversations, if you haven’t used your computer or digital tablet for a meeting like this, don’t worry – we have enough experience for the both of us. All you need is access to the Internet – and that means Wi-Fi for most of us.
You don’t have a digital device of any kind, you say. No worries. We will conduct the consultation via an extensive phone call.
What Are The Benefits Of Archadeck Of Birmingham’s Virtual Design Consultation?
The biggest benefit for you is convenience. You will be able to meet with us in the comfort of your home, without the pressure to fuss about our team visiting your home. In fact, you can even be in your pajamas if you like!
During our complimentary outdoor living space design consultation, we create a relaxed atmosphere for you where you can ask any questions you may have. We want to hear all about the project you have in mind and about your outdoor living dreams.
Here Is How Our Virtual Design Consultation Works
When we meet online to discuss your outdoor living project – or projects – we have specific objectives to keep the conversation on track.
Your Archadeck Design Consultant will be cordial, respectful, and purposeful because your time is just as valuable as ours.
We ask that you allow about 45 minutes for this meeting, and that all decision makers attend the meeting so we can progress quickly to designing your project for you to review at a later date. That meeting will take place shortly after this consultation and will be in person at your home, so we can demonstrate your outdoor transformation in person.
As the meeting will take place as we view each other on our computer screens, you don’t even have to be in the same location for key family members who want to participate. If there are two decision makers, you can each attend from different places, if that’s how it works out for you. It’s great if you are together when we meet, but it is not necessary – as long as you can both attend at the same time.
Another benefit of the virtual consultation is the information you will gain. By the time our meeting is over, you will have a very good idea about whether Archadeck of Birmingham is the right fit for your project. You will be able to ask us your questions about project designs and materials. Once we have a clear idea of the project you have in mind, we can even give you an idea of what it might cost. When you approve the final design plan when we meet in person, we will have an exact quote for the project.
How To Schedule A Virtual Design Consultation With Archadeck Of Birmingham
Unlike the traditional way of setting up a meeting, our process requires no back-and-forth trail of phone messages and voicemails. Instead, it’s incredibly easy. Once you contact us for information, we will send you an email that contains a link for scheduling. When you open that email and click on that link, you will see the time slots that are available, and you can select the one that is best for you. Done – that’s it! Our meeting date and time is set.
Prior to our virtual meeting, we will send you another email with a link for the meeting itself. A few minutes before the scheduled meeting time, you can sit down at your computer and click on that link to log in.
How To Prepare For Your Virtual Design Consultation
Once your virtual design consultation is scheduled, we will send you an email with details about how to prepare for the meeting. The information we request in advance will help us visualize the project you are considering at your home.
Here is what you can expect to happen:
To make our call more productive, please forward the following info to email@example.com prior to our call:
1. Backyard – Please send us at least 5 photos of the space – capturing the entire area, stepping back up to 40 ft. to ensure you see the entire house including the roof lines, if possible.
2. Side Yards - Please send 2- to 3 photos showing a clear view of the side yard that would allow access to the backyard, as we need to determine where materials will be placed.
3. Measurements - Please provide some general measurements of the existing space and of the project you want to have built.
4. Site Survey - If available, please provide a copy of the property survey that you might have received when you purchased your house.
The easiest way to take these photos is with your smartphone. If you use your phone for email, you shouldn’t have a problem with this step. Alternatively, you could upload the photos to your computer and email them to us using the computer. Again, this information should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to our virtual meeting.
Today, Site Surveys are often available in a PDF (Portable Document File) format. If you need to generate a PDF of your Site Survey, there are several service providers who can help you do that. If you don’t have access to a scanner to create the file, the folks at a FedEx Office, a UPS Store, or an office supply store like Staples or Office Depot will be glad to help you. To make it even easier, simply ask a neighbor who works from home and most likely has a scanner.
Whether you want to add a deck, covered porch, or covered deck to your home, we would love to design and build your project. Don’t wait. Contact Archadeck of Birmingham today to schedule a design consultation for your new or expanded outdoor living space.
