Unique Custom Deck On Townhome In Cotswold Provides Privacy And Space Galore!

This project is quite unique because instead of being a part of a single-family home on your typical lot, it is built onto the back of a lovely townhome.

Archadeck of Birmingham has built a variety of custom outdoor living structures in the Birmingham-area on condominiums, patio homes townhomes and other types of dwellings.

This elevated deck is built over an existing concrete patio. The homeowner had a 10 x 10 concrete patio which just didn’t provide the space or privacy the homeowner craved. So, she contacted Archadeck of Birmingham to fulfill her spatial and needs and specific desires she wanted in an outdoor living space.

The deck was built using low-maintenance TimberTech decking. It features privacy walls in the design in pressure-treated wood adding an air of intimacy away from prying eyes, and also to match the neighborhood’s requirements. We also carried the same design into the deck skirting using pressure-treated wood as well.

We finished the railing out with low-maintenance rail cap atop the pressure treated rail with black round aluminum balusters.

The added space the deck offers makes for better views of the woodland below and beyond. Can you imagine the vistas entertaining outdoors on this deck at sunset?

The privacy panels Archadeck of Birmingham custom built for this project also serve as an architectural feature adding to its aesthetics. They provide vertical interest while still serving the purpose of providing the privacy the homeowner craved.

The customer is elated with her new and improved outdoor oasis! She couldn’t be more pleased at the way the project turned out. If you have a condo, townhome or patio home, consider Archadeck to design and build the space you have in mind.
