KEEPING IT ALL IN THE FAMILY WITH ARCHADECK
Being so pleased with the outcome of their new outdoor living porch design and build, the parents of these newly moved transplants to Georgia told their children about Archadeck.
Their recently purchased Macon area home had an existing two-level deck in the backyard. Our first order of construction business was to tear off one level and add space for a large outdoor living screened porch.
Totally screened for the newly relocated family’s protection and comfort, we added a new deck on the side for further outdoor living enjoyment and variety. This eight-foot square deck addition included an area for an outdoor grilling station and a new set of stairs for easier access to the expanded space.
A RICH WOOD INTERIOR COMPLEMENTED BY A LOW-MAINTENANCE DECKING EXTERIOR
Surrounded by white lattice on two strategic sides of the deck, renowned Fiberon composite, sustainable, low-maintenance decking was used for the new floor and the grill area for easy cleanup when necessary. The beautiful ocean side inspired color of Fiberon’s Beach House brings a stunning patina to the new space.
For outdoor comfort and entertainment, a ceiling fan was installed inside the screened porch interior. The client also plans on adding a projection TV to the space for weekend afternoon football viewing – and some late-night movies.
SUSTAINABILITY TO THE MAX WITH THIS MACON PORCH BUILDER
Earth conscious and ever so industrious, an interesting sidebar to this outdoor living story is that the newly rejoined father and daughter/son-in-law team. salvaged the lumber that was removed from the previous structure.
They are in the process of repurposing it for a backyard playhouse for the children in the family.
