This Cedar Park Family Decided To Go Big When Replacing Their Ground Level Deck

Sometimes the adage “Go big or go home” translates to “Go big and stay home” for Archadeck clients in Cedar Park, as evident in this spectacular backyard reincarnation.

Here, our expert deck building team found yet another ground-level deck which had suffered extensive rotting and deterioration. As such, our client wanted something more usable and with less grass in the back of the home; and they wished to tie in the covered porch area they already had. So a new hardscape patio just beckoned to be the deck replacement solution.

Before.

But in the spirt of “Going big” and getting the job done right this time, we were also tasked with designing and installing a new outdoor kitchen on a new multi-level hardscape patio protected with a new pergola enhanced with a TopGal translucent cover. WOW!

After.

The New Space Is Amazing!

Not Only Did We Install The New Patio With Pergola And An Outdoor Kitchen, But We Also Had All The Lighting Installed Where The Homeowner Can Easily Control It.

As the family plans to add bistro festival outdoor lights to accent and beautifully illuminate the new hardscape patio space, we added a switch so the new lighting design can be easily controlled in addition to the sconce lighting fixtures we installed as part of the transformation.

For the new hardscape patio, the gold, ochre and brown tone mosaic design is concrete with a TPC overlay.

The majestic pergola is fashioned out of strong, durable and weather-resistant cedar which was stained in the tone of the client's choice, English Walnut – a dark and dramatic accent to the new patio space below it.

Let The Sun Shine In – Softly – With Topgal

The new pergola features Top Gal which allows it to be used as a patio cover while it keeps the weather out and reduces the sun’s UV rays.

Bathed in unobstructed sunlight, the new outdoor kitchen features Lueder’s stone tops, in medium Nicotine with a beautiful white limestone mix on the base area. This new outdoor kitchen design also features a Coyote smoker grill and griddle to maximize the meal preparation plans the family has been wishing for.

Notice that this Cedar Park outdoor kitchen was built to drain to the back and side so no water will run into the kitchen area, as it was intentionally, proactively and thoughtfully designed to do so.

Finishing Touches That Make This Transformation The New Star Of This Cedar Park Neighborhood

Our Archadeck Outdoor Living team replaced all the soffit and fascia on the back of the house, and also installed new gutters, and downspouts with screens.

They also repainted the entire back elevation of the home, as well; and YES, we did ALOT for this project!

Notably the center patio area is 7-inches higher than the upper patio, and the TPC is also different on the main. One can see that it is a darker color compared to the lower patio as we used a Roman Slate pattern there.

If you look closely at the images of the upper patio, you’ll notice that it has riser lights in it, as well, for safe illumination after sunset.
