These homeowners in the Falconhead West neighborhood of Bee Cave, TX, all have excellent taste! They each chose Archadeck of Austin to create or improve their outdoor living space. The deck/porch/patio projects we have completed on this street showcase our talent for designing and building low-maintenance decks, covered porches and amazing patios. And once again these projects drive home the point that each outdoor living space we create is custom-designed for one specific home, no two the same.
Two of these Falconhead West projects feature deck, covered porch and patio combinations. The third home had a covered porch and wanted to add a deck so they’d have an open outdoor space in addition to a covered space. What all three projects have in common is the end result: all three homes now have both a covered and an open-to-the-sky outdoor living space. We find, more and more these days, that homeowners don’t want to choose between either a covered porch or an open deck or patio. They want both. Or all three!

These Falconhead Westhomeowners had a deck but wanted a larger deck. They also recognized the need to have a covered outdoor space in addition to a traditional open deck. Finally, because their new deck and covered porch would be elevated, they wanted to add a patio for an outdoor space to enjoy at ground level. At this home, we started with a blank slate because our clients had only a concrete slab for an outdoor living space. The homeowners wanted a covered porch, a deck, and a patio for their hot tub. We designed these three areas to be used together or separately depending on the family’s needs for relaxing and entertaining. The low-maintenance deck we designed is an uncovered continuation of the covered porch, both having the same low-maintenance floor.

Here the homeowners already had a beautiful covered porch, and they wanted to pair that with an
uncovered space to enjoy outdoors as well. We designed and built an exquisite low-maintenance deck with flared steps leading down from the landing above. The deck gives this family the perfect place to sit and enjoy their view of the canyon, day or night. Stargazing may be another activity they will enjoy on this deck.
