Haven Underdeck: Our Preferred Underdeck Partner

Make the Space Below Your Deck as Livable as the Space on Top

An elevated deck gives you a great view, but what’s happening underneath it? For many homeowners in Kalamazoo, Portage, St. Joseph, and across Southwest Michigan, the area beneath a second-story deck is damp, dripping, and underused. It’s where the lawn mower lives and where rain falls straight through the boards.

Archadeck of Southwest Michigan is proud to partner with Haven Underdeck to change that. Together, we turn the space beneath your deck into a dry, finished outdoor room you’ll actually want to spend time in.

What Is a Haven Underdeck System?

Haven Underdeck is an all-aluminum ceiling system installed beneath your elevated deck. Water that falls between your deck boards is caught by a series of panels and carried into a gutter and downspout system that moves it safely away from your home. What’s left is a clean, bright, dry space with a finished ceiling overhead.

Why We Chose Haven

At Archadeck, we’re known by the company we keep. We only partner with products we’d stand behind on our own projects, and Haven earned its place.

Built for Michigan weather. Aluminum panels won’t rust or become brittle, so they hold up through lake-effect snow, spring storms, and humid summers along the lakeshore.

Easy to service. Individual panels can be removed without disturbing the rest of the ceiling, making future access simple.

Designed around how you live. Add LED lighting, ceiling fans, speakers, or even a porch swing to create a true outdoor living room.

Options for every budget. Haven offers multiple system styles, so we can match both your design goals and your investment level.

What Can You Do With the Space?

Once it’s dry, the possibilities open up:

• A shaded outdoor living room for lounging and movie nights
• A covered dining area for rainy-day cookouts
• A sheltered hot tub retreat
• A space for an outdoor kitchen or bar
• Dry, organized storage for patio furniture, bikes, and gear

Better Together: Archadeck Design + Haven Performance

When you work with Archadeck of Southwest Michigan, one team handles your whole project. Whether we’re building you a new custom deck with a Haven system included from day one, or adding Haven beneath the deck you already have, we plan the space as a complete outdoor living area, not just a ceiling.

Using 3D design tools, we’ll show you what your finished underdeck space will look like before construction begins. And because we also design and build outdoor kitchens, fire features, patios, and screened porches, we can help you pull the entire backyard together.
