We say it often, but it is worth repeating: It is not necessary to overhaul your entire backyard to make it the best it can be for your outdoor living needs.
These Bolingbrook IL clients had an existing paver patio. When they called on Archadeck of Chicagoland to improve their outdoor living space, they wished for a more usable space. To them, this did not mean a major addition. Our designers and patio builders were tasked with creating a new paver patio to replace the aging one; to optimize the use of the space without a massive expansion.

This Bolingbrook IL paver patio design is a collective win, by way of a variety of coordinating Belgard® patio products. We used Belgard’s Origins pavers for both the inset circle and the area in front of the fire pit. The circle’s paver finish offers a slight variation from the adjoining space – Ashbury Haze was used inside the circle and Danville Beige was installed in the fire pit area. Both spaces are separated by a contrasting-color Holland Stone soldier course in Bourbon finish.

A patio seating wall with a useful twist.
Many of our patio construction clients opt include a fire pit in their custom design. Dare we say fire pits are the equivalent of an indoor dining table? They are fantastic vehicles for brining family and friends together, face-to-face in conversation. They offer beauty and warmth; spaces of quiet contemplation and respite from the busy-ness of life. This seating wall was constructed with Belgard’s Weston Wall patio wall system in Danville Beige and ledgestone coping in Buff finish. Perhaps you noticed the wood-burning fire pit in the center, which is constructed with the same materials as the seat wall. Flanking the fire pit with built-in seating is an excellent way to extend seat accommodations on smaller patio designs without taking up space. We applied an inset ribbon soldier course design using Holland Stone in Bourbon finish, which highlights the shape of the patio wall and fire pit.
