Some projects stick with you long after the last board goes down. Jeff's new deck near the water, about two hours south of our office, is one of those builds for Archadeck of Southern Indianapolis.
Jeff tried for two years to find a deck contractor who would simply show up and provide an estimate. No one came. After reading an ad in Tipton Magazine, he called Archadeck of Southern Indianapolis and, in his words, spoke “to a real live person, not a robot or voicemail.” That first live conversation set the tone for everything that followed.
From First Call to Clear Plan in Just Days
Ryan visited Jeff’s property within three days. A week later, Jeff had deck renderings in hand along with an anticipated build time and cost. He knew what the project would look like, how long it would take, and what to expect next.
Behind the scenes, Lizzie kept close watch on the details and stayed in touch with Jeff throughout the process. Project Boss Rick Morgan coordinated materials and the build schedule so the crew could stay focused on the work. When Jeff had questions or wanted to review changes, Rick responded quickly.
Teamwork on a Challenging Deck Build
Jeff’s home sits near the water, so the new deck needed a lot of stairs and careful planning. The crew also had to remove existing railroad ties before construction and work around a lost day for footing inspections.
Once the crew arrived, they got to work right away. Jeff noticed that every person on site knew their role, stayed on the job, and worked in step with one another. As he shared, The crew was conscientious, friendly, polite and seemed to genuinely enjoy their trade.
Start to finish, including demolition and inspection downtime, the team completed Jeff’s deck in four consecutive days. Neighbors and even passersby began complimenting the finished space almost immediately.
“Beyond My Highest Expectations”
Jeff summed up his experience this way: The quality of the build is beyond my highest expectations. After years of waiting for someone to simply show up, he now enjoys a new deck that fits his property and lifestyle near the water.
