Custom Dock Addition at The Enclave on Lake Lasater

This stunning dock on Lake Lasater is part of a lakeside outdoor oasis we recently completed for these homeowners in The Enclave which also includes a custom pergola on Lake Lasater built by Archadeck of the Piedmont Triad. This elegant outdoor living space began with an elegant pergola. Our most recent addition is this low maintenance elevated deck which completes the intended design of the backyard.

Our first project consisted of a spacious pergola that is positioned in close proximity to the lake itself, as well as to the existing home. This enables the homeowners to use the pergola for entertaining purposes. During the second phase of the project, we constructed a custom stairway and waterfront dock to allow for further enjoyment of their unique setting. The stairway and dock were built using the highest quality synthetic decking which is perfect for use on docks, and in areas such as pool and spa decks because of its resiliency to water exposure. This material will allow for many years of use and stay looking beautiful with maintenance free capabilities proving that this outdoor oasis is more than just another pretty face. See the complete project in the video below.

If you look closer, you’ll notice that this amazing dock is more than just another pretty face. The dock delivers a huge amount of function through the way it’s designed. Not only is the dock built with AZEK, which is a top material choice for docks and waterside outdoor spaces; but the multi-level design makes accessing the dock effortlessly. The dock encompasses an upper level dock which is perfect for sunning or fishing on Lake Lasater. An elevated lower level deck is perfect for boat access. The entire design is joined with custom staircases that exude safety and beauty to bring the most benefit to the space.

The dock is built using super low-maintenance AZEK in slate gray with black aluminum railing. The mix of colors is striking alongside one another and the railing adds an extra level of safety and elegance to the dock. AZEK is known for its superb performance in waterfront settings. This material limits the shortfalls associated with traditional wood and composite decking for boat and marine installations as AZEK is stain and split resistant, resists mold and mildew and is impervious to moisture and insects. These advantages, along with AZEK’s longevity and durability are what make it a top material choice for building docks that not only look the part, but stand up to the demands of being close to the water.
