We hear some version of this a lot from folks in Arlington and around Fort Worth: "We want a new deck, but we're waiting until we've saved up for it." Fair enough, that's how most of us were taught to think about big purchases. But it's not actually a requirement, at least not with Archadeck of Northeast Fort Worth. Our Buy and Build Payment Program lets you get the project designed and built now, then work the payments into your monthly budget instead of your savings account.

If a covered porch with an outdoor kitchen has been sitting on your “someday list” because the total price feels steep written out as one number, this post is for you. We'll get into how the financing actually works, what a realistic monthly payment might look like, and why a lot of homeowners end up preferring it even when they could technically pay cash.
Why Wait on the Backyard You Actually Want?
Most families will drop a couple thousand dollars on a week at the beach or a handful of nights at a lake house without blinking twice. A deck or a covered patio gives you that same unwind-after-work feeling basically every evening, and it's ten feet from your kitchen instead of a five-hour drive away. It's not just a home improvement. It's the thing that gets used day after day, and night after night.
Financing is just a way of skipping the "wait until it's paid for" part. You don't have to trim the design down to whatever's sitting in the bank account this month. If the outdoor kitchen or the fire pit was on your wish list, it can go in the plan now, and you pay it down over time instead of building it in pieces.
How Archadeck's Financing Actually Works
Archadeck partners with Regions Bank, Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender, to offer home improvement financing. Once you've met with your Archadeck designer and received your project quote, you'll have a program number, loan code and loan amount you can use to apply. All loans are subject to qualification, required documentation and credit approval.
A few things make this financing option worth a closer look:
- No home equity is required to qualify, so you're not putting your house up as collateral.
- There are no prepayment penalties if you want to pay the loan off faster than planned.
- Funding can happen quickly once you're approved, and you choose the date that works for your project timeline.
- Both same as cash options and low, fixed rate loans are available depending on your credit profile and preferences.

What Could This Actually Cost You Per Month?
Here's what homeowners really want to know, so let's get into it. Archadeck's published starting prices for the most common project types look roughly like this:
- Pergolas, patios and hardscape living areas: starting around $10,000
- Decks: starting around $15,000
- Pergolas: starting around $15,000
- Porches: starting around $25,000
- Screened porches: starting around $30,000
Those are starting points, not what you'll necessarily pay, since size, materials and your yard's layout all move the final number. But we can still use them to get a feel for what a monthly payment looks like. Keep in mind these are just sample math, not a rate quote. Whatever term and rate you end up with will come from Regions based on your credit and the offers available when you apply.
Take a $10,000 patio. Spread over five years at a fixed rate somewhere in the high single digits, you're looking at something close to $200 a month.
Bump that up to a $15,000 deck financed over seven years, and the payment lands closer to $230 or $240 a month. That's about what a lot of people already pay for a car, except this "car" adds square footage to your house and doesn't lose value the same way.
A $25,000 covered porch on a ten-year term could come in around $300 a month, give or take.
Again, sample numbers, not a quote for your specific project. What tends to surprise people is how much smaller those figures feel once they're a monthly line item instead of one lump sum sitting on a proposal. Compare $230 a month to what a family spends on a spring break trip or eating out most weekends, and the deck starts to look pretty reasonable.
Building in Stages vs. Financing the Whole Thing
Plenty of homeowners’ plan to do this in phases. Deck this year, pergola cover next summer, outdoor kitchen whenever the budget allows. There's nothing wrong with that approach, and we're glad to build it that way if it fits how you want to handle things. Financing just opens a different path: build the whole vision, add ons included, as one project, and let the payments do the stretching instead of the calendar.

There's a practical upside here too. One project usually beats three separate ones on price, since you're not paying for mobilization, permitting and site prep repeatedly. And honestly, there's something to be said for sitting on a finished, complete space this summer rather than a half-built version of it while you save for phase two.
Getting Started in Fort Worth and Arlington
Every project starts the same way, with a free design consultation. Your designer will come look at the yard, ask how you plan to use the space, and put together a real price quote instead of a number pulled off some online calculator. Once you have that, financing stops being a big unknown and just becomes the next step.
If a new deck, patio, porch or outdoor kitchen has been on your mind, there's no reason to keep waiting for the "right time" financially. That time can be now.
