This client’s home, just outside of the Halifax Peninsula, was in need of an outside entertaining area. They only had a small, shady concrete slab and were looking to up their game. We presented a plan which added a new sliding door to their home, and used the east side of the lot for maximum sunshine.

The multi-level, treated timber deck kept the grilling space close to the new dining room entrance. The in-deck lighting lets you get down to the lower levels in the evening with ease. These clients are avid gardeners, so built-in planter boxes were incorporated into the design. Benches with hinged storage covers create a comfortable seating area to entertain. Horizontal fencing panels add privacy as well as the surrounding greenery.
