New front porch allows Purcell's Cove, Halifax homeowner time to grow Kiwis!

Pool deck and seating area

This project was designed, and constructed just off Purcell’s Cove Road, and Halifax NS. The home is set in a heavily treed, forested area. Although located right in the city, it has the feeling of a cabin, or cottage in the woods. These avid gardeners, grow grapes, and even arctic kiwi’s on the property. Who knew that we could grow kiwi’s in nova Scotia?

The porch, deck project that we designed, and constructed is using low maintenance decking, low-maintenance trim, and low maintenance railing. Selections included Timbertech’s cypress colour decking from their vintage collection. It uses a contemporary railing, with black aluminum railing balusters.

Covered patio

This Halifax deck project was designed to match the existing architecture of the home, and fit in with the natural forested setting. It requires no deck staining, or no painting of railing. So these homeowners can spend their time working, and enjoying their garden!
